Welcome to our spa hotel with a dog in the Bavarian Forest! When you arrive, your furry friend will receive a tasty treat and a waste bag for walkies. If you wish, we’ll also give you a food bowl and dog blanket to use in your room. Thank you for understanding that we can only accommodate one dog per room. Upon prior agreement and subject to availability, we’ll allocate you a table in dedicated dog-friendly restaurant areas. We charge an additional fee for your dog of €18 per day up to a body weight of 10kg or €24 per day up to 30kg. Please let us know in advance if you wish to bring your dog with you.

Circular route past the animal sanctuary
If you’d like to take it easy on your holiday at our spa hotel with dog in the Bavarian Forest, this leisurely circuit is just the thing. It’s around 3km long and lets you enjoy a relaxed walk through nature, passing right by the Tiergnadenhof Zell animal sanctuary. Along the way, simply breathe deep and enjoy the forest.
Wald-Wipfel-Weg treetop walk in St. Englmar (circular route)
A varied walk far away from noisy roads and crowds of people: Discover the lofty heights and impenetrable depths of the Bavarian Forest! The Wald-Wipfel-Weg treetop walk is around a 10-minute drive away from our hotel. It offers a good mix of excitement and relaxation for humans and dogs alike. It starts at the car park of the ski slope in St. Englmar and is around 7km long. Along the way, you’ll pass an alpaca and wallaby enclosure (admission for a fee).
Bavarian Canada hiking trail
You can experience the Bavarian Forest at its wildest here – and the hiking trail is a real insider secret: You hardly meet another soul along the 10km trail, making it a perfect destination on your holiday with your dog. Pure nature. Serene water. Whispering treetops. The hiking car park is located in Teisnach. You can reach it in around a 20-minute drive.
Wildlife enclosures at the Lusen National Park Centre
This wildlife park is open all year round and is located around an hour’s drive away. Dogs can accompany you on their leash. You can marvel at otters, red deer, brown bears, wild boars, various birds, and much more.
